Shotwell House
San Francisco, CA
The extensive remodel of the house began by removing decades of renovations to expose the original old-growth redwood framing and clearing the backyard of a delapidated garage to make space for a new artist’s studio. Designed with the goal of creating a home that inspires casual enjoyment, the house balances openness, quality hand craftsmanship, and modern technologies, such as solar powered hot water and radiant heating systems.
